FAQs
What is a co-signer and do I need one?
A co-signer is a parent or a legal guardian willing to co-sign the lease with you (the resident if you are under 25). In addition, the co-signer agrees to pay all unpaid rents and other financial obligations on your behalf. The Coterie requires all residents to obtain a co-signer.
How do I rent a room?
All rooms are first come, first served. If you are the first to submit a completed application, we will send you a lease to sign. You will then have 48 hours to finalize the lease.
Do you charge a rental application fee?
Yes, the application fee is $40 per applicant. You’ll pay the application fee electronically through KeyCheck.
Can I break my lease?
Residents that have signed a contractual lease are responsible for the full rent and security deposit of the entire lease. If you have a change of circumstances, you are responsible for finding an approved replacement resident (unless you are called into active military service). This resident must sign a lease prior to you being released from your lease obligations. You will incur a release fee.
Do you allow pets?
No, no pets are allowed on the property.
Do I get a parking space?
Each resident will have a parking space and have room for one guest spot for visitors.
